Here There Be Dragons

“The piece I’ve written, HERE THERE BE DRAGONS: Chasing My Voice, touches on the bravery of charting new territory, speaking honestly about how music changed my life, and how I discovered unexpected musical kinships along the way. All the songs I perform in the show are originals, and these songs remain as a journal of my past, present, and future.” - Felicia Loud

Be Ready. Be Hydrated.

After a study came out about the excessive advertising used to promote sugary drinks to black and brown youth, Black Stax worked with other community organizations to raise bilingual awareness about the problem. They gathered feedback and data through moderated sessions with youth. Which was then used to create campaigns that resonated with local youth encouraging them to drink water as an urban lifestyle choice.

Growing Old Project

“Growing Old is about more than just trees,” says Jace, “it’s about life. This project talks about the foundations of where we come from, whether you’re talking about trees, or you’re talking about Native folks, or you’re talking about people of color, Black folks, and communities that have been gentrified.”
